I went to Uki value in Ogawa with Kurumi on September 20th. First, I walked to Kurumi's house, and I met her and her father. Then, her father picked us to Uto station, and we rode in the train. After we arrived at Ogawa station, we rode in the shuttle bus to Uki value. We drop in at some stores almost cloth shop, and we bought some clothes. In addition, she bought a birthday present for her mother.

After that we saw clothes one store, and then someone called my name. It was Daisuke. I was so surprised. Next, Kurumi and I ate lunch at Bo Chaka. I ate lady's set: salad, cod roe spaghetti, hamburger steak doria, and juice. It was delicious, but too much for me. Finally, we walked to Ogawa station at night, then we rode in the train, and Kurumi's father picked us to Kurumi's house, and I walked to my house. I enjoyed the day.

Essay 2-01a: My Favorite Place

I am going to introduce about my favorite places. I went to Minnesota in America this summer vacations. Then, I visited a lot of places in Minnesota. There are very beautiful places. I like Minnesota, so I decided to write about my favorite places in Minnesota.

Especially, I like Saint Paul Cathedral in Minnesota. It is big and tall building. The outside is fancy, like a castle of Cinderella. The inside is very beautiful. There are many stained glasses and statue of Jesus, Maria, and someone. When I entered there, I thought cathedral is like a church, because there were Bibles, benches, cross, candles, and special water and so on. In addition, it was so quiet.

The construction of this cathedral began in 1906 and the first services were held in 1915. Today, the cathedral seats 3000 people. The main dome is the largest dome in the world. It is 186 feet high and 97 feet in diameter. The 24 stained glass windows. There are four large mosaics that represent justice, prudence, temperance and fortitude. Round stained glass windows are called rose windows.

By the way, I have another favorite place. It is Lake Harriet in Minnesota. Minnesota has 10,000 lakes. The lakes of Minnesota are very large, so they look like the sea. I went to some lakes, for example, The Lake Valentine, The Lake Johanna, The Lake Christmas, and so on.

But especially I like Lake Harriet. I watched music band performance there with my host family. Do you know Blue glass? It is American traditional country music. I ate strawberry ice cream at there.

Then I fed ducks. Finally, I rode in the trolley. It was fun. I have never seen the trolley, so I was very excited. The trolley is like a train, but there are not glasses of the windows, that is to say, there are only frame of the windows. I don’t know why, but it is interesting.

That is why, I like these places. I want you to visit them if you can. I thought, if you saw them, you must be moved, because they are beautiful. Minnesota has a lot of beautiful and fun places. There are many trees, flowers, birds, and a lot of stars. I want to visit there again.

I drove to Clair in Kashima with my mother. First, we enjoyed shopping. Then we ate lunch at Chinese restaurant. I ate shoronpo, and annindofu. It was so delicious. My mother ate set lunch. To tell the truth, I wanted to eat set lunch, but I had to go to see a movie, so I chose them, because I can eat fast.

After that, I ran to theater, and I could arrive on time. I watched villain. I wanted to see the movie for a long time. My favorite actor is Satoshi Tsumabuki, so I was looking forward to seeing the movie. Villain was deep love story, and a little thrilling, but interesting.

Main cast is Satoshi Tsumabuki, Eri Fukatsu, Masaki Okada, Hikari Mitsushima, Akira Emoto, Yoshiko Miyazaki, and Kirin Kiki. Eri Fukatsu received a prize.Satoshi Tsumabuki is role of the villain, but actual villain is Masaki Okada and Hikari Mitsushima.Next, I met my mother and I bought nikumaki. Finally, we came home.

My favorite animal

My favorite animal is squirrels and rabbits. They are so cute. My preschool has breeding ground, so when I was kindergartner, I had always feeding the rabbits. One day, I had feeding the rabbits like always. Then one rabbit bit my knee, so I cried. Therefore I feared rabbits. By the way, I have never seen squirrels before I went to America, but I often saw squirrels in Minnesota, so I was so excited when I saw squirrels at first time. Squirrels are very fast, and they climb a tree, and then jumped from tree to tree. In addition, I like dolphins, because they are beautiful, and intelligent. When I was child, I watched performance of dolphins. I was moved. And I also like a lesser panda.

My favorite color

My favorite color is pink, light blue, violet, deep green, turquoise blue, muscat green, deep purple, and wine red. When I try to buy something, I often choose pink, but sometimes I waver to choose which pink or light blue. As to clothes, I choose navy blue, turquoise blue, deep green, or violet. As to pumps, I like wine red. So, depend on things. Basically, I like pink, and a pastel color. So, almost of my things are pink. I don't like a vivid color, and primary color, but I also like a quiet color. I don't like brown, gray, ocher, black, flesh color, orange, yellow, red, green, light green, blue, salmon pink, deep pink, vivid pink, vivid red, powdered green tea color, and silver.

My favorite flower

I like flowers, because they are very beautiful, make me mend, raise me spirits, make me happy, feast my eyes on flowers, and make me comfortable. My mother loves flowers, so there are a lot of flowers in my garden. My favorite flower is lily, tulip, anemone, hibiscus and Chinese milk vetch and so on. I like flower of pink. When I was child, I often made bouquet, and I presented for my teacher, and my mother. My mother often dressed me a various floral one-piece. And I enjoyed wearing these clothes. In spring, we go to see cherry blossoms. In summer, we go to see sun flowers. In autumn, we go to see cosmoses. I enjoyed flowers of season.

My favorite season

My favorite season is spring. In spring, a lot of plants bloom the beautiful flowers, and the birds sing on merrily in the trees with beautiful voice, warm and sunny days, so I feel happy, and comfortable. My image color of spring is pink. Spring is the happiest season in other seasons for me. Not so hot, not cold. In spring, everyone try to do something, and start new works, step new levels and so on. So I think that spring is challenge season! I am looking forward to coming spring. Tulip, Chinese milk vetch, cherry blossoms, dandelion, rape blossoms bloom in spring. I like these flowers. I like to see the beautiful view. I enjoy spring every year. I also like another season.

My favorite dessert

I like dessert. My favorite dessert is Chinese apricot bean curd (annin doufu), creme brule, custard pudding,bavarian cream, mousse, fruits tart, parfait, fruit cake, crepe, ice cream, strawbery cake, strawbery tart, souffle cheese cakeand so on. I love sweets very much. My favorite cake shop is Gateau Annry in Kawashiri. Since I was junior high school student, I often go to buy variety of cakes. Especially, I like akaimino tart and creme brule. When I came home after an entrance examination for high school, my mother bought these cakes for me from the shop, so I was so moved and happy. I often buy souffle cheese cake at JUSCO. It is so deliciouce. Now, I am addicted to the premium roll cake of Loson.
