Sweet tooth

I like to eat deserts, because it is delicious and makes me happy! Now, I 'm addicted to buy sweets of convenience stores. I went to LAWSON and Family Mart, and then I bought Tiramisu, cream pudding, custard pudding, and Swiss roll. Tiramisu was so-so, because a little bitter for me. Cream pudding was good, but I like custard pudding of Family mart. Swiss roll was also good. I like Swiss roll. I often buy Swiss roll. I like fresh cream. LAWSON has very nice sweets. There are a variety of sweets. Especially, I like Swiss roll.

I read King Midas and the Gold. I am going to tell you about this story. Main character is King Midas who was so rich. He lived in gold house. There are a fountain, a lot of money, and green. He has stick. He looks a little fat, a few curly hair, and heavy mustache. He is wearing purple one-piece, sandals, a bangle, and a coronet. He is kind.

One day, he met an old man who was wearing white one-piece without a sleeve, sandals, and brown hair band. He has long mustache. He hasn't hair. He couldn't find his house, so King Midas helped him to find his house. He could meet his son.

His son looks so young as if a grandson. He has gold hair. He is wearing light blue one-piece, sandals, and leaves coronet. The old man told the King his son is a god who can give him a wish. He can some grapes changed into some wines.

The King likes gold, so the god changed the King's stick to gold. If the King touched something, the god turns to gold. He touched his place, and it turned to gold. There are a variety of delicious dinners. He touched them, then that turned to gold too. He doesn't want the god to do that.

The god told him there is a secret river in the hill. The King walked a very long way. He looks hot. At last, he found the river, and he washed his body. This story was so-so. The last was not enough.

BR 2-05: The Owl and the Pussycat

I read The Owl and the Pussycat. The illustration is cute, so I chose this book. I am going to introduce about this book. The main character is Owl and Pussycat. Owl looks male, and Pussycat looks female. One day, they decided to go to the sea with a green boat. They brought some honey, and plenty of money, wrapped up in a five pound note. In addition, the Owl had his guitar.

At night, they looked up to the stars in the boat, and then he began to sing a song and played his guitar. The pussycat felt comfortable. He made a love song for her. "What a beautiful pussy you are!” She looks confusing.

Then, she looked sea and her face. He continued his love song. There are few fish and a lot of beautiful stars. He made her happy. She praised him and his song.

After that, she suggested to marry. He thought about ring. Then, they sailed away. There is some sea gull. For a year and a day, they enjoyed fishing, singing, watching the sea, chatted, rainy, and snowy, sunny, storm, watching the stars, and reading a book.

Next, they arrived one land. There are a lot of trees, colorful bird, and fruits and so on. It looks like a jungle. They walked around. Then, they found one pig. He wears a ring at his nose. So she wanted him to exchange a coin and his ring. She asked him to do that. He said OK. The Cat and Owl are so happy, and then took it away.

They were married next day, by the turkey that lives on the hill. There are a lot of pretty flowers. They ate dinner. After that, hand in hand, on the beach with sunset. They danced by light of the moon with a crab and some starfish.

They enjoyed happy life. After I read this book, I felt so happy and warm. They love each other. The Owl is a romantic. I want a boyfriend like him. I wish their happiness.

Essay 2-02a: Language Learning Experiene

I am going to introduce my language learning experience. I learned Japanese, Japanese classics, Chinese classics, English, and French. I like them, and I am good at them except English and French. Especially, I like Japanese classics and Chinese character. It is interesting for me. I got level pre-2 of Chinese character examination. I will focus on only my English learning experience now.

I started to learn English when I was 4th grade in elementary school. My friend recommended GEOS, so I went to there. In addition, I was interested in English. In GEOS, we learned English with some games. First, I learned basic words with message game. For example, ant, gun, alligator, jelly fish, lady bag, whale, giraffe etc. Second, I learned daily conversation with music. Third, I learned grammar. I enjoyed learning English.

When I was junior high school student, I was good at English. I liked to learn English in class. I studied basic of Writing, Listening, Reading, Speaking, and Grammar. I always got high point. I liked to speak English, so when I found ALT, I spoke to them in English. I had to recite a whole page of a text, then probated pronunciation, accuracy, intonation, accent, breath, and my eyes by English teacher. It was hard for me. Then, I tried to English examinations. I got a level 3.

When I was high school student, I was good at English at first grade. I tried to English examination, and I got a level pre-2. I liked to answer the questions. In my high school, everyone go to higher school, so I studied hard. I answered a lot of workbooks. I had to prepare for tomorrow's lessons every day. One day, I couldn't follow the high level lessons. Gradually, I didn't like English. I didn't want to study English, so my point of English was down. I wasn't good at English. But, I had a dream to be a flight attendant, and I must enter University, so I studied English hard again. At the 3rd grade, I studied English very hard, and I answered a lot of workbooks, and AKAHON, because I wanted to enter the Kumamoto Prefectural University.

Now, I study English: Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking, and Grammar at university. In Reading class, I learning how to read the English paper, and increase vocabulary. In Listening class, I listen to conversations of native speakers, and write what they speak. In writing class, I typed essays. I have to consider about paragraphs, constitution of sentences. In speaking class, I have to explain. For example, vacation memories, how to make something, position the box etc. By the way, I home stayed in America to improve my English skill. I knew my English skill is so poor. The pronunciation was different from what Japanese pronounce English. I had a difficult time communicating with American people.

As you can see, I learn English long time since I was an elementary school student, but my English skill is poor. So I need to study more. English is able to connect with people of all over the world. I want to communicate with people who live in another country. I'm interested in foreign cultures, economics, traditions, food, fashions, religions, and lifestyles and so on. English is important for me. By the way, I'm interested in French too, so I want to learn it more.

I like to watch TV. My favorite TV show is music programs. For example, Music station, Our music, HEY! HEY! HEY!, Music fair, and Music Lovers and so on. I love music, so I often watch these programs. In addition, I have many favorite singers. For example, EXILE, Ayumi Hamasaki, Kumi Koda, AAA, Kana Nishino, AKB48, KARA, ARASHI, and Kanjani∞, and so on. So, I must watch them.

Then, I like dramas too. For example, Devil, HEROES, Light of Firefly, Slow dance, Bond of Shooting star, Ymatonadeshiko Shichihenge, Ganbatte Ikimasshoi, Produce to Nobuta, Dango rather than flower, Hanazakari no Kimitachie, Last Friends, Anego, Yuukan Club, Witch trial, Guest of room number 0, Tokyo Dogs, Mei chan’s butler , Queen of Lunch , and Buzzer beat and so on.

Happy day♪

I went to school to finish my assignments. There were a lot of people, because a sports festival of Keiai kindergarten holds at ground in KGU. I didn't know that, so I was surprised. First, I went to LOWSON to buy a lunch. Then, I ate sandwiches and roll on the bench.


After that, I went to the library. Then, I studied French. Next, I typed assignments of the book reviews. After that, I finished a report of the Linguistics. Next, I rode a train.


I met Ayumi who is my friend from junior high school. We are rarely to meet, so I was excited. We chatted in the train. She said “Are you fat than before?". I felt sad. I know, I'm fat, but...


In addition, we talked about love, and part time job, and so on. We reminisce about the good old days. The memorials of my schooldays recurred to me. Next, we arrived at Uto station. We went to EVERYONE where my work place is. I looked my work schedule.


After that, she wanted to go to Super Kid, so we went there. Then, I bought ice creams, snacks, and cookies. Ayumi bought some precooked Chinese noodles, precooked spaghetti, UFO, bread, ice cream, chocolate, and bottled coffee. We enjoyed shopping and to chat. Finally, we went home by bicycle. I had a nice day!

Tea ceremony

I went to Tea ceremony at Todoroki source with my mother. There were tatami, Japanese umbrella, powdered green tea, Japanese-style confectionery, Japanese lantern, garden lantern, tsukimi dango, Japanese pampas grass, koto, Japanese bamboo flute, teachers of tea who was wearing the kimono, and a lot of people. We ate Japanese-style confectioneries and powdered green tea on tatami. It was so delicious. We fold our legs under ourselves. It was hard for me.

In addition, we ate hot thin wheat noodles. It was also delicious. Then, we heard music performance of koto and Japanese bamboo flute. It was so beautiful. I heard "Koujyouno tsuki". Next, we saw the history center. Then, we learned about history of Uto. There were pictures of lords. After that, my mother found cherry blossom. I didn't believe that, because autumn now, but she is true. She showed me cherry blossom. I enjoyed today. I appreciate my mother.

I read The Old Woman who lived in a Shoe. The illustration is so pretty. A lot of children in a shoe. Now, I am going to introduce about this story. The character is an old woman, and a lot of children: Hannah, Harry, Sara, Sam, Aisha, Abdul, Daisy, and Dan, Gwen who was greedy, and Stan who was small, and Sean who was short, and Tom who was tall, Jasmine, Jeremy, Sandeep, Grace, Ying, yasmin, Jacob, Joe, and a huge giant. There are a lot of characters.



First, there was an old shoe in the park. An old woman, and a lot of children stayed in the shoe. In the yard, there are apple tree, pear tree, toys, and playground equipments. They look so fun, and smile. But, the old woman is confusing.



One of the room, there are boys and girls who wearing the costumes: cowboy, Indian, rabbit, which, queen, thief and pirate. They enjoyed that. In the kitchen, Gwen and Stan eating a large chocolate cake. Near the door, Sean and Tom playing remain wear their shoes. So, it's so dirty. There are some vases which they brought from the garden. At the bed room, there are Jasmine, Jeremy, Sandeep, and Grace playing with cushions on their bed. Another space, Ying, Yasmin, Jacob, and Joe playing in the box, rocket, on the light.



The shoe is too full. So, the old woman looking for another shoe to shoes store. She went all shies stores, but she couldn't find good shoes. That is why, she walked to home. She heard a cry of someone. It is a huge giant. He needed help, because a crab caught his toe. Then, the old woman took hold and pulled it off.


The giant appreciated her, and gave her his huge shoes, because she wanted his huge shoes. Finally, all of the children could their room to have fun. That's all! Did you like it? I love this book the best. I want to stay this shoe. I want you to read this book, because it is so funny, cute, and makes me happy.

BR 2-03: The Lion and the Mouse

I read The Lion and the Mouse. When I found this book, I thought this is so cute! So I decided to write about this book. The character is a lion who is so big, and fast asleep. And a little female mouse.



When the lion fall a sleep, a tale of mouse tickled his nose. So he woke up. Then, he was so angry, and he is going to kill her. He raised his hand, and opened his mouth. So, she asked him to don't kill her. In addition, she said she can save him to the lion. Next, he laughed, because he didn't believe that. She is too small.



One day, the lion walked around a tree. Then, he walked into a net. He wants someone to help. He screamed. After that, the mouse heard his voice. She was eager to encourage for him. Then, she bit the ropes. Finally, he was free. Then, he said sorry to her. He thought, even little friends can be nice friends. They got along with each other.



I like this book, because they are so cute. In addition, this story is plain, so easy to understand. I am going to recommend this book. If you found it, you should read it.

My experience in Minnesota

First, I worried about my English skills, because I can’t speak English fluently and I couldn’t understand what American say. But my host father taught me about pronunciation, and my host mother spoke in plain English for me, and they were so kind. So, I decided to try to speak English, and understand what they say.


Second, I learned about the importance of speaking in class. In America, if we don’t say anything, we regarded absent by teacher, because this attitude means nonparticipation in class. So, I tried to speak. I felt that sharing is important, because I can know about my friend’s experience, and expand my knowledge.
In addition, I learned about the history of Minnesota, African-American people, American weddings, American police, Immigrants, American nursing homes, American farms, Christians, stereotypes, and so on. There were differences from Japan.


Then, I enjoyed American life. My best memory is canoeing. I had never tried to canoeing, but I could do it, so I had a nice day. In addition, I played tennis with my friends and badminton with my host sister. It was so fun.


By the way, my favorite place was the St. Paul Cathedral. I felt the beauty of there. I was very excited. And I enjoyed Lake Harriet, because there were beautiful views. I fed the ducks, I saw a music performance, I ate ice cream, and I rode on the trolley. Next, I enjoyed shopping in Minnesota. I went to Target, Mall of America, Rainbow, Cub, Starbucks, and so on.

I read Stone Soup. I am going to tell you about this story. The character is old man and old woman. The man is so poor. He looks terrible. He has a stick, and wearing a hat. The woman is fat, and her attitude is not so kind.




One day, the man walked with his dog. He found a cottage, and then knocked it. An old woman opened the door. The old man asked her to rest here for a while, but she didn't allow. He didn't give up, and told her what he can make a good soup from a stone.




She wanted to look it, so she put water into a pot on the fire. Then, he added a special stone. After that, the soup bubbled. Then, he tasted it, and he recommended her to add an onion. So she put chopped an onion into a pot.




After that, he tasted it again, and he advised her to add a potato. So she put chopped potato into the pot. He tasted again, and then he told her to add some meat. So she put chopped some meat into the pot. He put it into a bowl.




Next, she tried to eat the soup. She likes this soup. He smiled, and washed the stone and put it in his pocket. She didn't notice this trick. She believed his lie about special stone. Finally, he and his dog stay with her to eat soup for dinner. I thought he is clever. I also like this story.

My favorite candy

I have some favorite candies. Foe example, Strawberry milk, yogurt taste of chelcy, milky, caramel, koume, grape and orange taste candy. I like candy. I often buy some candy, and I chill these candies in the refrigerator, because it become more delicious before chill it. So, I recommend that! I always bring it and When I feel hungry, I eat it. Sometimes my throat aches, so I buy throat candy, and suck it. I often buy VC-3000. Do you know it? VC means vitamin C. It looks yellow. It tastes sour. When I had a cold, my mother bought it for me. It is good candy. I recommend it, if you feel throat ache. By the way, there is a lot of kind of candies in Japan. Which candy do you like?

My favorite vacation memory

My favorite vacation memory is what I visited to Minnesota in America. I had very nice days. I stayed with my host family: Tim, Ann, Sally, Mark, Jane, John, Paul, and Alice. There are six people. I was surprised. They are very cheerful.

When I saw them, I was so nervous, but they were funny, and kind, so I enjoyed staying with them. Especially, Paul attached himself to me. He wake up early, come to the car, and hug and kiss me, then see me off every morning. By the way, I went to Bethel University to learn about educations, histories, cultures, traditions of Minnesota. I visited a lot of places, and ate various foods. It was so fun! This experience is my treasure. I appreciate my parents, brother, my host family, and teachers of BU.

My favorite TV/movie star

My favorite TV star is Satoshi Tsumabuki. Do you know him? He is actor. I love him since I was elementary school student. He broadcasted CM of Uno fog bar, and a lot of dramas and movies.

For example, Water boys, Omizu no Hanamichi, Lunch of Queen, Orange days, Slow dance, Kabachitare, Tsuki Gami, Heaven and Hell, Wedding Planer, Tenchijin, Dekichatta kekkon, Long love letter, Dororo, and Villain and so on. He is so handsome isn't he? In addition, he looks so kind. When I saw him on TV, I feel so happy, and excite. I was enchanted by him. By the way, I also like Shun Oguri, Hiroki Narimiya, Masaki Okada, Tatsuya Fujiwara, Hayato Ichihara, and Tomo Yanagishita and so on.

I read the magic porridge pot. Now, I am going to introduce about this story. The character is a hungry Hannah, an old woman, a greedy boy, a magic pot about hungry Hannah, and a lot of porridge. Hannah is a girl. She looks poor. She always feels hungry, but when she gets some food, she always shared it.




One day, she went to the forest, and she found some honey there. That makes her happy. Then, she met an old woman who looks so fat, and wearing the glasses. The woman was carrying an empty pot. Then, Hannah asked her to share the honey. The old woman said yes, and then shared it.




After that, the old woman asked her to eat porridge. Of course she said yes, but there is not porridge in her pot. Hannah was confusing. So, the woman told her one magic words "Cook pot, cook!” After that, the pot filled with hot porridge. Hannah was surprised.




Next, the woman told her another magic word "Stop pot, stop!” Then it stopped. They ate honey and porridge. It looks good. After that, the woman gave her the pot. Since she got the pot, she always ate porridge for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.




One evening, a greedy boy walked with his dog near her house. He smelled the porridge, and watched how to make it, but he didn't watch how to stop it. He waited until she seep, then he stole the pot. He tried to do like a, but it didn't stop. The porridge covered with the ground.




She smelled porridge, so she went outside. Then she saw porridge on the street. She said the magic word "Stop pot, stop!" Finally, the pot stopped. She could get her pot back, and the pot had never stolen. How was it? I like this story, because it is funny! I want the pot.

Essay 2-01b: My Favorite Place

I am going to introduce about my favorite places. I went to Minnesota in America this summer vacations. Then, I visited a lot of places in Minnesota. There are very beautiful places, and good foods! My favorite American food is a hot dog! It was simple, but good! I like Minnesota, so I decided to write about my favorite places in Minnesota.

Especially, I like Saint Paul Cathedral in Minnesota. It is big and tall building. The outside is fancy, like a castle of Cinderella. The inside is very beautiful. There are many stained glasses and statue of Jesus, Maria, and someone. When I entered there, I thought cathedral is like a church, because there were Bibles, benches, cross, candles, and special water and so on. In addition, it was so quiet.

The construction of this cathedral began in 1906 and the first services were held in 1915. Today, the cathedral seats 3000 people. The main dome is the largest dome in the world. It is 186 feet high and 97 feet in diameter. The 24 stained glass windows. There are four large mosaics that represent justice, prudence, temperance and fortitude. Round stained glass windows are called rose windows.

By the way, I have another favorite place. It is Lake Harriet in Minnesota. Minnesota has 10,000 lakes. The lakes of Minnesota are very large, so they look like the sea. I went to some lakes, for example, The Lake Valentine, The Lake Johanna, The Lake Christmas, and so on. I like St.Paul Cathedral the best.

But especially I like Lake Harriet. I watched music band performance there with my host family. Do you know Blue glass? It is American traditional country music. I ate strawberry ice cream at there.

Then I fed ducks. Finally, I rode in the trolley. It was fun. I have never seen the trolley, so I was very excited. The trolley is like a train, but there are not glasses of the windows, that is to say, there are only frame of the windows. I don’t know why, but it is interesting.

That is why, I like these place. I want you to visit them if you can. I thought, if you saw them, you must be moved, because they are beautiful. Minnesota has a lot of beautiful and fun places. There are many trees, flowers, birds, and a lot of stars. I want to visit there again. By the way, I want to visit New York City too!!

After school, I went to Cineplex with Asaki and Sayaka to watch the movie. Asaki watched the Villain. Sayaka and I watched Kimini Todoke. It was so good! I like this movie. The main cast is Haruma Miura, Mikako Tabe, and Mirei Kiritani and so on. This movie is pure love story.


Kazehaya=Haruma Miura. Sawako=Mikako Tabe. Kurumi=Mirei Kiritani. Kazehaya is charmer in the class, but Sawako is feared from the students, because she looks SADAKO of the RING. However, she is very distinguished, kind, and pure. She always does good things. They like each other.


The most impressive scene is about friendship. Sawako has two friends. They always worry about her. Kurumi loves Kazehaya, but Kazehaya loves Sawako and her too. Kurumi often feel jealous, and she is unkind to Sawako. My favorite line is “You are rude for her. She is a girl." Kazehaya said to classmates. In addition, "I'm sorry. I couldn't stand.” Kazehaya said to Sawako. I was crying while I watched this movie. I want you to watch this movie.


After the movie, we ate crape, because we can eat all of crapes only 290 yen on 29th. We ate same crape. It was so delicious ♥ after I ate it, I felt so happy, and became smile. Then, we walked to school with chat. Next, we said good bye each other, and I walked to Suizenji station. Then, I rode in the train, and I went to home.

I went to downtown to have my hair permed, and watch the CHONMAGE PURIN with Kurumi. She also wanted to have her hair permed, and watches the CHONMAGE PURIN. First, we went to accessory shop, and we bought a hair gum. Then we enjoyed watching the cloth shops. After that, we ate hamburger at McDonald’s. Next, we went to ZOAR to have our hair permed. We have never visited there, so we were very nervous!!

Our coworker recommended the hairdresser, so we decided to visit there. But, unfortunately, we lost a way. To make matters worse, it started to rain. I called the ZOAR, and explained the problem. After the calling, a man come our place, and he brought us to the ZOAR. Then, we had our hair permed. Kurumi wrapped with towels and a cloth like a turbaned person, so I laughed for a long time. She looks Indian.

Next, we went to Cineplex near the Daiei. We watched CHONMAGE PURIN. We love Ryo Nishikido, so we watched that. The main cast is Ryo Nishikido, Rie Tomosaka, Jun Inoue, and so on. I am going to tell you about the story. First, Ryo Nishikido time slipped to Tokyo from Edo. He is samurai. He confused this situation. He founded by Rie Tomosaka and her son. Then, he stayed her house.

One day, he watched a TV show about how to make some desserts. After that, he tried to make those desserts, and he could make it. He is very good at cooking. After the day, Rie's friends visited her house, and they ate his desserts. They were very excited for delicious desserts.

One of the friends applied for a sweets contest with his name. He joined the contest with Rie's son, and they made a castle. They came second. Jun Inoue asked Ryo Nishikido to work Jun Inoue's cake shop. The shop is very famous. Ryo Nishikido decided to work at Jun's shop.

Then, Rie was angry, because he is busy, so he runs away. What was worse, her son too. Rie looking for her son, but she couldn't, so she visited to Jun's shop, and told Ryo about her son. He was looking for her son. And, he founded him.

The son ordered to make a pudding to him. So they went to super market to buy some ingredients. After that, they walked for their house, but Ryo couldn't move, and he went down underground gradually. So, Rie got into a panic, and crying, and kissed him. He disappeared. He went back to Edo.

One day, Rie and her son visited Japanese sweets shop, and they ate old style pudding. The clerk said "This pudding from Edo, and made with soy milk, because there is not milk in Edo, so the founder made with soy milk.” Then, Rie and her son looked the picture of the founder. He is Ryo Nishikido!! They were so surprised.

Before Ryo went back Edo, he promised to make a pudding for her son. So, he kept his word. That's all. It was interesting. In addition, his action was very good! Finally, we came home at night. I had a very nice day♥
